At this point, in your speech, pay special attention to using native language and expressions, instead of translating expressions from your native language into target language words. A good way to do this is imagining how your language parent would say something.
The goal is going directly from images in your head to target language speech (not even thinking in your native language, bypassing it entirely).
Thereโs also another exercise you can do on your own, now that youโve spent a lot of time with your language parent. You can try expressing your own thoughts in the voice of your parent. Vividly image how they would say something and make the same sounds, use the same words and expressions as they would.
You can also share the recording with your language parent to get their feedback.
