The first activity with your language parent is practicing your pronunciation of the basic sounds of the target language. You already made flashcards for any new sounds in [ACTION] The Sounds.
Pay attention to your language parent’s face, their mouth and tongue movements. This practice is physiological: you really have to train your mouth muscles to make the sounds of the target language. This probably physically hurts in the beginning, which is a good sign!
Repeat a few times for every sound until you get it right (ask your language parent to judge and correct). It is important to practice all the sounds right from the start, else your mouth might become lazy and develop a bad pronunciation habit.
Since this is a physiological exercise, for difficult sounds you might need to give your mouth some rest and come back in a few days.
