You’re still going to move through the same immersion cycle.

In B1 + B2, you start by watching documentaries, videos etc. about your topic of interest.

• [ ] 👉 Find an documentery or video in the target language about a topic that interests you, with target language subtitles. Create a subpage, and go through the immersion cycle (start at [ACTION] Mine sentences → flashcards).

You then gradually move from your specific area towards more general content, like podcasts and YouTube videos with real life anecdotes, full feature films and songs.

• [ ] 👉 Find a full feature film or real life podcast in the target language, with target language subtitles. Create a subpage, and go through the immersion cycle (start at [ACTION] Mine sentences → flashcards).

Once you can comprehend most of this content, start dropping tools:

• remove subtitles to strenghten listening-only skills

• use a normal native language (monolingual) dictionary to look up difficult words, instead of looking up translations in a bilingual dictionary

• [ ] 👉 Repeat the above steps without subtitles and without a bilingual dictionary.
